the year before class 1

UKG in Sector 116, Noida

This is the year that decides whether your child walks into Class 1 feeling ready or feeling rushed. Big-school admissions, a new building, a bigger class, longer days — all of it lands at once.

Our UKG year builds genuine school readiness: not only literacy and numeracy, but the independence, focus and emotional regulation that decide whether a child copes with the change or struggles through it.

what this year works on

Inside UKG at Iris Bloom

📝

Writing with control

Letter formation, spacing, simple sentences and copying from a board — the mechanics Class 1 assumes a child already has.

Early maths that means something

Addition and subtraction, number bonds, time, money and measurement, taught with objects first and symbols second so the understanding is real.

🔬

Projects and experiments

Longer pieces of work children plan, carry out and present. It teaches persistence, which no worksheet does.

🎒

Independence for a bigger school

Managing their own bag, bottle and belongings, following a multi-step instruction, asking a teacher for help and sitting through a longer session.

What a UKG day looks like

A structured morning with dedicated literacy and numeracy blocks, a project or experiment session, snack and active play, and a closing circle that reflects on what the day covered.

We run Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. See the rooms this happens in.

By the end of the year

Children develop at their own pace and we never treat this as a checklist. It's what we're working towards together.

  • Writes simple sentences legibly and copies from a board
  • Reads simple books independently
  • Adds and subtracts within twenty and understands time and money basics
  • Concentrates on one task for a full session
  • Manages their own belongings and routines without reminders

See UKG for yourself

Come in during a working morning and watch a session actually run. That tells you more in twenty minutes than any website can.
